Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell is an American singer and songwriter born on 18th December 2001 in Highland Park, Los Angeles. She belongs to the musician family, her mother is an actress and screenwriter Maggie Baird and her father is actor Patrick O'Connell. Her brother Finneas O'Connell, is an artist who performs and produces his own songs with his band. Owing to her passion for music, Eilish began singing at a very young age and by 11 she already started writing songs. She grabbed attention in 2016 when she uploaded the song Ocean Eyes which was written and produced by her brother Finneas. The song that was recorded in her bedroom took off her music career and was eventually released by Darkroom on Interscope Records. Her debut album broke several records in just one week and was enjoyed. She is the first artist born in the 21st century to top the Billboard 200. Eilish's Popularity, Singing Style & Songs In 2017, Eilish song “Bored” got featured in the Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why Season 1 and in the same year, Eilish released her EP, Don't Smile at Me (2017) that was not only enjoyed by masses but also ranked in the top 15 in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. Following the success of the Ocean Eyes remixes, Eilish released many singles in 2017 such as Bellyache, Bored which was part of the 13 Reasons Why, Watch, Copycat, along with her extended play, Don't Smile at Me. July 2017 was a month that witnessed several singles by Eilish including Idontwannabeyouanymore, and My Boy. In 2019, she released the third single from her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? - Bury a Friend while the fourth single from the album, Wish You Were Gay, was released in March 2019. In November 2019, Eilish became the youngest artist to be nominated in all four General Field categories i.e. Record of the Year and Song of the Year for "Bad Guy", Best New Artist and Album of the Year. She also got recognized as the 2019 Billboard Woman of the Year.
